Warranty Policy

HIBANA provides a voluntary 12-month manufacturer's warranty on HIBANA motor vehicle lighting products, starting from the date of delivery. This warranty is additional to, and does not replace, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you may have under the ACL or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

What the voluntary warranty covers

During the 12-month period, HIBANA will assess defects in materials or workmanship arising under normal use. Depending on the issue, we may repair the product, provide replacement parts, replace the product or provide another appropriate remedy.

What the voluntary warranty does not cover

  • damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, impact, neglect or an accident;
  • damage caused by unauthorised modification, incompatible components or repairs not approved by HIBANA;
  • normal wear and tear or cosmetic changes that do not affect function;
  • damage caused by conditions outside the product's published specifications; or
  • products with identifying labels or serial numbers removed or altered.

These exclusions apply only to the voluntary warranty and do not exclude any ACL rights.

Making a claim

  1. Email info@hibana.com.au with your order number or proof of purchase.
  2. Describe the issue and include clear photos or video where practical.
  3. Follow our troubleshooting or return instructions. Do not send a product before receiving return instructions.

If the claim is covered, HIBANA will bear reasonable return and redelivery costs. If an assessment shows that the product is not faulty or the issue is outside both the warranty and the ACL, we will discuss any proposed cost before proceeding.

Transfer and replacement products

The voluntary warranty is provided to the original purchaser. A repaired or replacement product remains covered for the balance of the original 12-month period. These limits do not restrict any non-excludable rights under law.
